Foreign places and hospitals are traditionally indicated. It is a poor year for launching anything and a good one for rest, study, and quietly closing accounts.

Vedha and murti: why a good transit sometimes gives nothing

A favourable transit is not the end of the calculation. Classical gochara adds two corrections, and this page applies both. Vedha means obstruction: when a planet sits in a favourable house from your Moon, one specific other house can block it, and while a planet occupies that house the good result is held back. Murti is the form the planet takes for a whole sign transit, read from where the Moon stood at the exact moment the planet changed sign, counted from your own Moon sign. The same ingress gives a different form to each of the twelve signs, which is why two people can sit under the same transit and get different years out of it. The Moon is left out of the obstruction check here: it crosses every sign each month, so counting it would mark almost every transit obstructed and tell you nothing.
